Modern graffiti art is rare in India, but traditional hand painted street art is ubiquitous.

Today, I present a very talented photographer and designerMeena Kadriwho has been following the Indian street art scene.

Her photography and artwork have been exhibited in Glasgow, Delhi, Rome, Barcelona and New Zealand.

I scoured markets when they were closed in the hope of finding alluring roller doors on closed shop fronts.

I would shriek at rickshaw drivers to stop over peeling billboards.

I began to pursue moving targets and form sub-obsessions like painted rickshaw mudflaps.

I co-opted bemused taxi drivers in my compulsive quests and sought their opinions on the embellished onslaughts we encountered.

Below is a small selection of her photographs.
