But if you want it to be inconspicuous, or perhaps disable it altogether, you might do so.
The quickest way to reach the options is from the taskbar itself.
tap on an empty area of the taskbar.
SelectTaskbar settingsfrom the menu.
This directly takes you to thePersonalization > Taskbarscreen in the controls app.
Turn off the toggle switch forCopilot (preview)listed under Taskbar items.
it’s possible for you to reach the same screen from the controls app.
ClickStartand selectSettingsfrom the menu or press theWindows + Ikeys on your keyboard.
Like before, turn off the toggle switch forCopilot (preview)listed under Taskbar items.
The Copilot button should now disappear from your taskbar.
Remember, this action only hides the button.
Hiding the Copilot button in Microsoft Edge
Copilot is also now an integral part of Microsoft Edge.
In the menu, selectSettings.
SelectSidebarfrom the left column.
UnderApp and notification prefs, go to theApp specific settingsand chooseCopilot.
Turn off the toggle forShow Copilot.
It also automatically disables theAutomatically open Copilot in the sidebarsetting as well.
Restart the surfing app for the changes to take effect.
Alternatively, you’ve got the option to also quickly hide the Copilot button from the button itself.
Launch Microsoft Edge and choose the Copilot button to initiate the sidebar.
punch the three vertical dots forMore options.
Click onNotification and App settingsto initiate the same screen (as above) with the Show Copilot toggle switch.
Here are the step-by-step instructions for both.

Right-tap on theWindowsCopilot> selectNew>DWORD (32-bit) Value.
Name the DWORD asTurnOffWindowsCopilot.
Double-click theTurnOffWindowsCopilotand type1in the Value Data text field.
The Base should be the default “Hexadecimal”.
Restart the PC to see if the Copilot button has been disabled.
The above steps will disable Copilot for the current user.
