When you call someone, you usually want them to know who you are.
But on the hardware level, the basic steps vary depending on your rig.
First, navigate toSettings.
SelectPhoneand thenShow My Caller ID.
This will bring up a new list of options.
Find and turn off the toggle for Show My Caller ID.
The basic steps should remain the same, though.
First, bring up the menu from the Phone app by pressing in the top-right corner.
TapSettingsand then find theCallorCalling Accountsoption.
Now, depending on your phone, you’ll need to do one of two things.
Now, tapCaller IDand change it toHide Numberin the list that appears in the popup.
You should now see aShow Your Caller IDoption.
Toggle it toNeverto block your name and number when making phone calls.
Block your number using a star code
This method has been around for decades.
When the other end receives your call, youll pop up as Unknown Number or Unknown Caller.
My Verizon is available onAndroidandiOS, so you might easily manage your caller ID-blocking features wherever you are.
Unfortunately, you cant block your number for everyone.
Some organizations, businesses, and emergency services will still be able to see your phone number and name.
Even when you hide your number, spammers can still figure out your digits.
