Wireless networking is complicated, no question there.
They are all on the same SSID and password.
ATT Wireless had a wireless router embedded in the modem; didnt need or use their wireless connection.
Now with Spectrum, and their Arris TM1602A MTA is a modem only.
But that didnt work for some reason.
The technician said the Airport Extremes would have to be reconfigured(?).
However, Id like to ditch their wireless router and the $5.00 / month expense.
Whats preventing me from getting our Airport Extreme web link to work correctly without a superfluous wireless router?

First, Id ditch whatever modem it is that youre getting from your ISP.
Remember, youll only want to do this for two of your AirPort Extremes.
(This AirPort Extreme will probably be right next to your cable modem, Id imagine.)

Youll then connect it to your primary router via an Ethernet cable.
This is known as a wireless bridge or a wireless extender, respectively.
This tends to fly against convention, but I like having finer control over what my devices connect to.
Youll also want to verify that the wifi networks on your various AirPort Extremes are all using different channels.
While theyshoulddo this automatically, odds are good youll have toset this up manually.
And I almost forgot the one detail you buried in your question.
Dont connect a switch directly to your cable modem.
