But the question is, how do you go about it in a way thats actually easy to use?

The new Passwords app in macOS Sequoia offers a one-stop shop to manage all your passwords.

Set up verification code on macOS Safari browser.

This will make it easier to use two-factor codes even if you aren’t using the Safari app.

The process for most websites, apps, and services is the same.

Add verification code in Passwords app.

In this example, I’ll be using a Microsoft account in the Safari surfing app.

Youll need to first add the website login to the Passwords app (save it to iCloud).

It’s best to do this on a backup machine if possible, as using a beta risks instability.

To plant the beta, openSystem parameters, then navigate toGeneral > Software Update.

Finally, clickBeta Updatesand snag the macOS Sequoia developer beta.

To begin, pop launch the website, and find the two-factor authentication feature in prefs.

Paste the verification code in the text box.

You’ll see a new page for setting up the authenticator app.

This will be similar no matter which service you’re using.

The default option will be to scan a QR code for automatic setup.

Don’t worryyou don’t need to use a camera to scan this QR code.

This feature is used as an express setup, to automatically link your account to the Passwords app.

In this case, I’m focusing on the QR-code setup.

Simply right-tap the QR code, and choose theSet Up Verification codeoption.

This will open up the Passwords app.

Here, type your rig password, or use Touch ID to unlock the app.

The Passwords app will now ask you to choose the login to link the two-factor authentication.

Use the search bar to find the appropriate account, and clickAdd Verification Codebutton.

And that’s all there is to it.

Your two-factor code will be added to your account.

Using a different surfing app?

It’s still quite easy to find two-factor codes.

launch the Passwords app, authenticate, and go to theCodessection in the sidebar.

Here, you will see all your two-factor codes in a simple list.

you’re able to right-click any code to quickly copy it to your clipboard.

Then, go to the Passwords app, find the website in question, and choose the Edit button.

The two-factor authentication section will now disappear.
