Marilyn Minter is an American born photographer and painter currently based out of New York.
It was during the end of the ’80s, when few female artists had explored such a taboo subject.
Eventually she created the sensual style of hyper-realistic photographs and paintings she is known for today.
Minter begins her process by staging photoshoots of her subjects using traditional film over digital.
She then turns them into paintings created through the layering of enamel paint on aluminum.
