Dusty Welch is a gamer.
Hes the COO ofRespawn Entertainment, the independent game development studio behindTitanfall.
But he got his start creating another popular franchise that youve likely heard of:Call of Duty.
Respawn has found success too, with their premiere game Titanfall released to much acclaim in 2014.
NowTitanfall 2will arrive on October 28th, and theres also a yet-to-be-revealed Star Wars game in development.
He no longer has a paper route, of course, but the work habit remainsas do the games.

When I was a kid, the very first gig I ever had was a paper route.
What apps, software, or tools cant you live without?
Figuratively, I couldnt live without my iPadits my daily lifeline to work and our partners around the world.
I can get everything through it.
I also love my Tesla app for cooling down the car prior to entry.
Whats your workspace setup like?
Coffee shop with laptop and headphones?
Home office with a standing desk?
Whats your best time-saving shortcut or life hack?
For my team updates, I dont do the typical written agendas or PowerPoints.
Instead I ask for the top three concerns and where I can lean in to help.
Cut to the chase and cut down on bureaucratic agendas, which are counterproductive (and boring).
Whats your favorite to-do list manager?
Get yourself a spiral-bound notepad.
It lasts five months and has everything you need in there.
Besides your phone and computer, what gadget or tool cant you live without?
I have one at home and one at work.
Also, I cant be more than six feet away from an original formula Chapstick.
What everyday thing are you better at than everyone else?
I dont need much sleep to consistently function at a high level.
Whats your sleep routine like?
Im an erratic, less-than-four-hours-per-night sleeperbeen that way my whole life.
Im lucky to be highly functioning with that routine.
Turns out many of the great dictators throughout history also have this traitsomething thats a bit less flattering.
What do you listen to while you work?
I love the energy, it makes me so much more productive and stirs my creative juices.
