Tell us a little bit about your family and your career.
Did life happen mostly as planned or were there surprises?
Life never goes as planned, as many other parents would agree.
If thats not a working parent, I dont know what is.
With two teenagers, were a typical busy family.
We dont have the luxury of planning far in advance, so there are always surprises.
Its incredibly gratifying to know that weve raised kids who are self-sufficient and that they will survive without us.
Whats your favorite part of the day?
Sometimes we just listen to his favorite music and I will start dancing at stop lights.
Has being a parent changed the way you work?
Earlier this year, he was traveling alone a lot and getting sick.
I called my boss and told her that I had to go with him.
I knew Id regret it for the rest of my life if I didnt.
She said one word: Go.
Whats your favorite technique for staying in the moment when things start to feel overwhelming?
Safe to say, my family wishes I had discovered Barre earlier.
What are the gadgets, apps, charts or tools you rely on?
We also rely onLife360a lot.
As long as we know where they are, we dont have to worry too much.
What does your evening routine look like?
We do not have much of a routine because we all get home at different times.
When we are all home together, we have dinner and watch Seinfeld, Friends or Psych.
It gets us all laughing.
Our saving grace was our neighbor, Mr. George.
I was once desperate because our plans for evening pick-up fell through.
I ran over to Mr. George and asked him if he could help me out and he graciously agreed.
Nine years later, he is still helping us.
