Nothing says sexy likeI use a package manager to install apps instead of double-clicking boring executables.
It just rolls off the tongue.
But thereissomething fun about installing and updating your apps using a command line toolPowerShell, technically.
Good news: Windows 10 has a brand-new package manageror, at least, it will.
However, getting access to the package manager requires you to jump through a few hoops.
Microsoft has a link for that in its blog post, but it didnt work for me.
Im not the only onehaving this issue, as it appears theres something bugged in the installation process.
When I did that, it worked perfectly:
Ive installed the Windows Package Manager.
Lets have some fun.
Just typewget searchinto the command prompt and let er rip.
What if my app didnt install correctly?
And how do I update apps?
Speaking of, I apparently installed WhatsApp, but it doesnt appear to actually be on my PC.
Im not sure where it went, or if it even installed, but there you go.
Dont worry, that functionality is comingits just not here yet.
If that dissatisfies you, well, theres alwaysScoop.
