The Chanaral Llanta Potrerillos line in Chile is one of the most stunning railways in the world.

The Potrerillos mine started production a decade later in 1927.
The railway was subsequently used to transport supplies to Potrerillos and refined copper to the harbor at Barquito.
In 1959, the mines at Potrerillos were replaced by those at El Salvador.
