Canned Wine and Beer Worth Buying
Glass is the enemy of the picnic.
Also, as with the watermelon above, the fruit is mainly there to complement an already delicious beer.
Here, tart grapefruit is married with a citrusy, hoppy IPA for an extremely drinkable beverage.
Im also really into the name and packaging, and they give 8% back to local charities.
I dont care for the Pinot Gris, which tastes sweet and metallic.
The Drop RoseThough the marketing and packaging is a little total frat move, the rose itself isnt bad.
Its dry, light, and slightly fizzy, with hints of strawberry.
Lila Sauvignon BlancThis is one of the fruitiest wines I have ever tasted and the fruit featured is passionfruit.
This is great news if you love passionfruit.
In terms of the harder stuff, canned pickings are slim.
In terms of recipes, I like to keep it to three ingredients or less, with straight-forward ratios.
(Because no one wants to scale up one bar spoon of China China.)
Since it is summer, follow the margarita/sidecar/sour formula and make a big batch of something citrusy.
Though its designed to store wine (up to several days!)
theres no reason you cant fill the discrete, lightweightPlatypus PlatyPreservewith bourbon.
Nobodyneedsa titanium flask, but need is a funny word.
Theres nuthin wrong with Nalgene, andthis 12-ounce flaskis cheap, durable, and BPA-free.
