Both watches normally retail for $449.99.
The biggest difference is that it has an MIP screen (reflective, low power, low resolution).
Some Garmin devotees love the MIP screens, especially in bright sunlight; some prefer the newer AMOLED screens.
There is also a255S, with the smaller screen, for $249.99but no music.
But there is an affordable older version with a sale still going.
