How I solved todays Connections

Well, Ididntsolve todays Connections.

But heres my journey anyway.

LOVE, RELISH, and SAVOR all initially stand out as synonyms.

UM, LIKE, and WELL are all filler words someone might say while speaking.

I wonder if LITERALLY goes with them?

Hey, look at that.

Lets try that first grouping again, now with FANCY.

The remaining eight words are tricky.

NYT says Im one away.

Lets try JEWEL, which is also kinda shaped like a CARROT, instead of CYLINDER.

Yeah, still no.

I think there might be a wordplay category here.

Again, Im not sure what might complete it.

Lets try OM, though I cant think of a company that fits that.

I only have one mistake remaining, so I have to be careful.

Wow, Im really stuck.

Puzzles are supposed to be hard.

Youll see a game board with 16 tiles, each with one word or phrase.

Your job is to select a group of four tiles that have something in common.

Select four items and hit the Submit button.

If you guessed correctly, the category and color will be revealed.

(Yellow is easiest, followed by green, then blue, then purple.)

If your guess was incorrect, youll get a chance to retry.

You win when youve correctly identified all four groups.

But if you make four mistakes before you finish, the game ends and the answers are revealed.

Expect to see overlapping groups.

So dont hit submit until youve confirmed that your group of four containsonlythose four things.

If youre stuck, another strategy is to look at the words that seem to havenoconnection to the others.
