Notice that HARD KNOCKS is plural, and thus, no relation to the song from the ANNIE musical.
By the way, if you like Broadway shows, youll pick out one of todays categories pretty easily.
The plural animals are not what they seem.
CATS, by the way, is not like the others.

How I solved todays Connections
HARD KNOCKS?
Thats a metaphorical school.
We pay attention to details here, like whether a word is plural.)
What other schools are on the board?
I was thinking ofRock of Love.
But there is amoviecalledSchool of Rock.)
Next I saw BUGS, HOUNDS, and BADGERS, and figured there must be a category of annoyances.
ANNIE, CABARET, and CATS are all musicals.
COMPANY sounds like a winner, and I quickly Google it to checkyep, its a musical.
Or, I guess, all the TESTS in a school might, collectively, have many keys.
That explains the plural.
So how does SUPER fit in?
Ah yesyou might call your apartment complexs SUPER (superintendent) if youre locked out.
Youll see a game board with 16 tiles, each with one word or phrase.
Your job is to select a group of four tiles that have something in common.
Select four items and hit the Submit button.
If you guessed correctly, the category and color will be revealed.
(Yellow is easiest, followed by green, then blue, then purple.)
If your guess was incorrect, youll get a chance to loop back and try.
You win when youve correctly identified all four groups.
But if you make four mistakes before you finish, the game ends and the answers are revealed.
Expect to see overlapping groups.
So dont hit submit until youve confirmed that your group of four containsonlythose four things.
If youre stuck, another strategy is to look at the words that seem to havenoconnection to the others.
