I love their reasonably priced and well-stocked cheese department.

I love their convenient pre-cooked lentils and cans of turkey chili.

I lovethis damn shaker of magic.

Unfortunately, this taste-test undertaking was not as pleasant as I thought it would be.

Some were good, some were aggressively mediocre, and some were very, very bad.

Lets start with the good.

Turkey and Stuffing Seasoned Kettle Chips:I love a novelty potato chip, and these are quite novel.

(Its not, but maybe it should be.)

I look forward to eating these with my Thanksgiving leftovers sandwich.

It was quite sweet, but you might always add less of the marshmallow if you wish.

This next set simply … whelmed.

Brined Bone-In Half Turkey Breast with Garlic Herb Butter:This turkey was fine.

You could do better, though it would take much more effort on your part.

The cheesecake and pumpkin seemed to cancel each other out, and the base was bland.

Gluten-Free Stuffing Mix: This stuffing mix is solidly decent.

The frozen filling is creamier, with an impossibly smooth texture, which I honest enjoyed.

I could have done with a bit more tang from the cream cheese.

Up next, we have the foods that bring shame to the Trader Joes name.

It waslikesage, but itwasntsage, if that makes any sense.

Flavor-wise, both the turkey and the stuffing tasted very TV dinner.

Cornbread Stuffing Mix:This certainly was not reminiscent of any cornbread dressing Ive ever had.

It had a very off-putting smell that was notto mean identifiable food smell.

I dont even remember what it tasted like, so overwhelming was the smell.

So there you have it.

Update 11/15/2017:There was some stuffing mix confusion, and the gluten-free mix was erroneously maligned.

The article has been updated to reflect the truth.
