But now she finally has a reason to celebrate.
The 11-year-old was awarded the title of “World’s Hairiest Girl” by the Guinness World Records.
“I’m very happy to be in the Guinness World Records,” she told theDaily Mail.
“A lot of people have to do a lot to get in.
All I did was answer a few questions and then they gave it to me.”
Supatra says she became very popular at school following her Guinness recognition.
“Being hairy makes me special,” she said.
“This the happiest day of my life!”
Before the disease was understood, sufferers were branded ‘werewolves.’
She has thick hair growing over her face, ears, arms, legs and back.
Her father hopes that someday she will be cured.
