But now, ChatGPT has added an option to archive chats without actually deleting them.
This will instantly remove the chat from the list.
you’re free to find all your archived chats fromSettings.
initiate the sidebar using theMenubutton in the top-left corner, and tap the three-dottedMenubutton next to your name.
This will open theSettingsscreen.
From here, chooseArchived Chats, and voila!
All your hidden chats are here.
Tap on a chat to either view, unarchive, or delete it.
When you do this, youll see a three-dottedMenuappear next to the chat name.
choose it and press theArchive Chatbutton to archive the current chat.
To find your archived chats, choose your name from the bottom of the sidebar and chooseSettings.
Here, clickManagenext toArchived Chatsto see a list of all archived chats.
you could choose a chat to open it, with options to unarchive or delete the chat as well.
To delete a chat, use the three-dotted Menu button next to a chat, and then tapDelete.
OpenAI also has anoption to disable chat history and training data.
On iPhone, go toSettings>Chat Historyand disable theChat History & Trainingoption.
On the web, go toSettings>Data Controlto disable theChat History & Trainingoption.
After that, the data will be automatically and permanently deleted.
