iPhone mirroringis one of thebest new features of iOS 18andmacOS 15 Sequoia.
Here are a few of my favorite iPhone mirroring features for enhancing workflow.
In your Macs dock, look for the iPhone Mirroring app.
If you cant see the app in your dock, pressCommand-Spaceand search foriPhone Mirroringto initiate the app.
When prompted, unlock your iPhone using its passcode.
Unlock iPhone Mirroring on your Mac by entering your password.
Finally, iPhone Mirroring will boot up and show your iPhones home screen.
you’re able to now begin using your iPhone from your Mac.
To exit mirroring, quit the iPhone Mirroring app or unlock your iPhone.
Personally, I frequently use these shortcuts to reach the home screen and Spotlight search.
To do this, drag the mouse cursor to just above the iPhone Mirroring window.
You’ll see a border appear.
To the top-right of this border, you’ll find two buttons.
Scroll down and disable theShow on Macoption.
Your iPhone will still get alerts for that app, but they won’t appear on your Mac.
Alternatively, on your Mac, go toSystem options > Notifications > Allow Notifications From iPhone.
you might use this page to enable or disable notifications from certain apps and toggle sounds for iPhone notifications.
It’s much faster than AirDrop, and it’s saved me a lot of time while working.
Start by going to theSettingsapp on your iPhone and heading over toGeneral > AirPlay & Continuity > iPhone Mirroring.
Finally, tap theDeletebutton next to the Mac’s name.
